An interview with Henrietta Burgundy by our intrepid reporter Gordon Grudgely.
Gordon: Hello Henrietta, can I begin by asking you how long you have been with the show?
Henrietta: Yes, you can.
Gordon: And, um, how long have you been with the show?
Henrietta: Mmmh, let me see, almost seven years. I started young.
Gordon: What’s your role on the show?
Henrietta: Erm, I do the interviews, right. It’s one of the most important jobs around here. I help Marc a lot. I suppose you could say I run the show, really.
Gordon: Is there any truth in the rumour that you and Marc are romantically involved?
Henrietta: What! Who told you that? No way! All that at the Christmas party was just a mistake, right. I didn’t try to kiss him, I tripped over the carpet and fell on him, okay?
Gordon: So, what’s your favourite colour then?
Henrietta: Oh, that’s easy, pink. Er, no purple. No, pink.
Gordon: Do you all get on behind the scenes?
Henrietta: Oh yeah, perfectly. There’s always a tranquil atmosphere when I’m around. Some people like to say I’m bossy but it’s not true. I find people need organising and telling what to do.
Gordon: If you weren’t working for The Good News Show what would you be doing?
Henrietta: I’d be an air hostess. I love the glamour of flying and ending up in exotic locations.
Gordon: So, what’s your favourite holiday destination?
Henrietta: It’s got to be Blackpool, right.
Gordon: Right, and finally where do you see The Good News Show in five years from now?
Henrietta: Well we’ve performed live and now we’ve gone digital. I’m not sure, I think we need to buy a television company. I should be starring in my own show. I’ve got the looks don’t you think? I’m dead glamourous, me and I’m easy to work with …
Gordon: And there we leave Henrietta as she gets ready for another busy day at the GNS studio.
